Acoustilay

Acoustilay is an acoustic flooring underlay designed to reduce sound transmission through floors. The range is available in different grades and can be used with timber, concrete and screed floor constructions.

Depending on the grade and floor system, Acoustilay can help reduce impact noise such as footsteps and furniture movement as well as airborne noise such as voices, television and music.

Acoustilay 3, Acoustilay 8 and Acoustilay 15 provide different levels of acoustic performance and floor build-up. Acoustilay 3 is the entry point into the range, Acoustilay 8 provides a higher-performance mid-range option, and Acoustilay 15 is intended for more demanding acoustic applications.

The correct grade should be selected according to the complete floor construction, finished flooring and acoustic requirements rather than thickness alone.

Yes. Reducing impact noise from footsteps, dropped objects and furniture movement is one of the main applications for Acoustilay.

The resilient acoustic layer helps isolate the finished floor from the structure below, reducing vibration and impact sound transmission between floors.

Selected Acoustilay grades can also help reduce airborne noise such as speech, television and music. Acoustilay 15, for example, combines resilient and high-mass layers to provide both impact and airborne sound reduction.
