TECSOUND SprayDecoKustik 500ml x 12
TECSOUND SprayDecoKustik is a ready-to-use, sprayable contact adhesive specially developed for bonding panels of the PureKustik range. It can also be used for bonding various lightweight materials (such as films, papers, cardboard, foam and felt) to most standard wall or ceiling surfaces (such as plasterboard, concrete, wood and derivatives). Other applications are possible after testing. Extremely resistant on all types of supports: wood, steel, aluminium and plastic. Does not contain dichloromethane, CFC or HCFC.
Installation:
The surface must be dry, clean and free from dust, grease, dirt and other adhesion reducing residues. Apply in a well-ventilated area. Shake the aerosol well for 5 to 10 seconds before use. Before applying, it is recommended to test that the product is suitable for the desired use. Hold the aerosol in a vertical position and adjust the nozzle to the desired setting and direct the diffuser towards the surface to be glued at approximately 15 to 20 cm. If one of the surfaces is porous, apply the glue to one side and firmly press the two parts to be joined. If both surfaces are waterproof, apply the glue to the two materials to be joined, wait a few minutes and press firmly. Wait 20 to 30 seconds before joining to let the solvent evaporate and the adhesive to become sticky. The adhesion is immediate, but a uniform pressure on the whole surface is needed to ensure proper bonding. The adhesion is optimal after 48 hours.
DIRECTLY-FIXED PANELS
INSTALLATION TO WALLS: PURE-KUSTIK/SOPRA-KUSTIK panels are contact spray-adhesive fixed to the backing surface using Tecsound spray adhesive. This is a simple and strong adhesive for bonding Pure-Kustik panels directly to walls and ceilings constructed of normal construction materials, such as concrete. brickwork, wood, plaster or metal. No mechanical support is required or the need for drilling
SURFACE PREPARATION: The wall or ceiling must be clean, dry and free from loose paint or plaster, dust, oils, grease etc. Wallpaper should be fully removed, gloss paint roughened and emulsion paint brushed with a stiff brush to ensure it is firm. On absorbent surfaces, an initial priming coat of spray adhesive may be necessary. Wall or ceiling surfaces must be flat and level.
FIXING PANELS: Mark the position of the panels on the wall. Spray the contact adhesive on the back of the panel and also on the designated wall area. Apply the adhesive vertically on the panels and horizontally on the wall area. Allow the adhesive to dry for approximately 1-2 (tack time) minutes at room temperature before bringing the two surfaces into close contact, and apply light even pressure using a clean pad or roller.
NOTE: SAME PROCESS APPLIES TO CEILING APPLICATIONS WHEN DIRECT FIXING IS REQUIRED. WE DO NOT RECOMMEND USING THIS FIXING METHOD TO CEILINGS WITH PANELS LARGER THAN 1200X1200.
