Troldtekt Acoustic Panel 25mm – White 101 Fine K0
Troldtekt Acoustic Wooden Panel is designed to reduce reverberation and improve speech clarity when installed on ceilings and walls. Each panel measures 1200 x 600 x 25mm and features a K0 straight square edge for a clean, simple installation.
This version uses Troldtekt's Fine 1.5mm wood wool structure with a factory-applied White 101 finish, making it well suited to classrooms, offices, meeting rooms, restaurants, leisure spaces, public buildings and other interiors where both acoustic control and a clean architectural appearance are important.
Key Benefits
- Acoustic ceiling and wall panel: helps reduce reflected sound and reverberation within busy interior spaces.
- Fine 1.5mm structure: provides the classic Troldtekt wood wool appearance with a slightly more pronounced texture than Ultrafine.
- K0 straight edge: creates clean, simple joints between adjoining panels without a bevelled edge.
- White 101 finish: ideal for bright commercial, education and public interiors.
- Ceiling and wall installation: suitable for direct fixing to appropriate timber battens and compatible Troldtekt profile systems.
- Durable construction: cement-bonded wood wool combines the natural appearance of wood with the strength of cement.
- Easy to maintain: panels can be vacuum cleaned, lightly wiped, touched up and repainted where required.
- Fire classification: Troldtekt Acoustic is classified B-s1,d0 for reaction to fire.
Applications
Troldtekt Acoustic panels are designed for use as acoustic ceiling and wall linings in spaces where excessive reverberation can reduce comfort and speech intelligibility.
Typical applications include:
- Schools and classrooms
- Offices and meeting rooms
- Restaurants and hospitality spaces
- Reception areas
- Leisure facilities
- Public buildings
- Communal spaces
- Residential interiors
Fine 1.5mm Structure
Troldtekt Fine uses approximately 1.5mm wood wool fibres, giving the panel the recognisable textured appearance associated with traditional Troldtekt acoustic panels.
Compared with the Ultrafine 1.0mm and Extreme 0.5mm structures, Fine has a slightly more pronounced texture while still providing a clean architectural finish.
Fine finish: choose Fine where you want the characteristic Troldtekt wood wool appearance to remain clearly visible as part of the finished ceiling or wall design.
How It Works
The open cement-bonded wood wool structure allows sound energy to enter the surface of the panel rather than simply reflecting it back into the room.
This helps reduce reverberation and improve speech clarity and overall acoustic comfort.
Final acoustic performance depends on the complete installation, including panel thickness, mounting depth, insulation and the supporting ceiling or wall construction.
Acoustic performance: Troldtekt acoustic systems can achieve high levels of sound absorption when incorporated into the correct build-up.
For improved performance, we recommend using RWA45 50mm slabs behind timber battens where appropriate.
Long Service Life & Maintenance
Troldtekt acoustic panels are designed as a durable long-term interior finish and normally require very little maintenance once installed.
Easy to Clean
Dust and general dirt can normally be removed using a vacuum cleaner with an ordinary brush attachment or a slightly damp cloth.
Repainting
Factory-painted Troldtekt panels can be repainted using a compatible water-based acrylic paint.
For larger areas, spray application is recommended. Smaller areas or minor refreshes can be treated using an appropriate paint roller.
Care should be taken not to completely close the open wood wool structure with excessive paint.
Touch-Up & Minor Repairs
Minor scratches and scuffs can be covered using matching Troldtekt White 101 touch-up paint.
Small areas of localised damage can also be repaired using matching cement-bonded wood wool material taken from a spare panel or sample.
Maintenance tip: retain a small number of spare panels after installation for future local repairs or replacement.

Direct Fix Installation
Troldtekt Fine K0 panels can be installed directly onto suitable timber battens on ceilings and walls. Compatible Troldtekt steel profile systems can also be used where required.
1. Plan the Panel Layout
Plan the ceiling or wall layout before installation so that panel joints remain straight and unnecessary cuts are minimised.
Where practical, begin with a complete row of panels and work outwards across the surface.
2. Install the Timber Battens
For direct fixing to timber, Troldtekt specifies suitable supporting battens with a minimum size of 22 x 95mm.
The supporting layout should be installed at a maximum spacing of 600mm.
3. Fix the Panels
Fix each 1200 x 600 x 25mm panel using 6 Troldtekt structure screws positioned approximately 20mm from the panel edges.
For this White 101 panel, use matching White 101 4.2 x 45mm Troldtekt structure screws for suitable wood or thin-steel direct-fix installations.
Do not overdrive the screw heads, as excessive tightening can indent or damage the wood wool surface.
4. Maintain Consistent Joints
The K0 profile creates a straight square-edge joint. Maintain consistent alignment throughout the installation for the best finished appearance.
Direct fix summary:
- Minimum timber batten size: 22 x 95mm
- Maximum support spacing: 600mm
- Screws per 1200 x 600mm panel: 6
- Screw position: approximately 20mm from panel edges
- Recommended fixing: White 101 4.2 x 45mm Troldtekt structure screw
Ceiling Installation
For ceiling applications, Troldtekt panels can be installed onto suitable longitudinal or transverse timber battens.
The supporting structure must be capable of carrying the additional weight of the panels and battens.
For improved sound absorption: installing suitable acoustic insulation behind the panels can improve the performance of the complete ceiling construction.
Wall Installation
Troldtekt Fine panels can also be installed as an acoustic wall lining, providing both reverberation control and a robust decorative finish.
Panels can be direct fixed onto suitable timber battens over an appropriate structural background or framing system.

Troldtekt Acoustic Calculator
Use Troldtekt's manufacturer acoustic calculator to estimate the acoustic performance of your room. Enter the room dimensions and surface materials to model reverberation time, absorption area and the potential effect of adding acoustic treatment.
How to use the calculator: enter the room length, width and height, select the existing floor, wall and ceiling finishes, then add Troldtekt as an absorber to compare the calculated room acoustics before and after treatment.
The calculator is provided directly by Troldtekt and its results are intended as an indicative acoustic calculation rather than a site-specific acoustic guarantee.

Why Choose Troldtekt Fine?
Troldtekt Fine combines effective acoustic treatment with the classic textured appearance associated with cement-bonded wood wool panels.
The Fine 1.5mm structure provides a more pronounced wood wool surface than Ultrafine or Extreme, making it well suited to projects where the natural texture is intended to remain visually apparent.
Combined with the White 101 finish and K0 square edge, this 1200 x 600 x 25mm panel provides a clean and practical acoustic solution for ceilings and walls across commercial, education, leisure and residential interiors.
