Installation Guidance

Ensure the subfloor is clean, dry, and level.

When used beneath carpet, install Soundmass Self-Adhesive Perimeter Strip to maintain isolation under gripper rods.

For glued installation, use Mapei Ultrabond Eco VS90 Plus with a 3mm notched trowel.

If overlaying with chipboard, lay 18mm–22mm T&G boards, securing joints with adhesive and isolating perimeters using dB RD Flanking Strip.

Always follow best acoustic practice by sealing edges with a suitable acoustic sealant.
Acoustic System Enhancement
When installed beneath 22mm chipboard and combined with suitable ceiling treatments and flanking paths removed, SilenceComfort Wool can achieve DnT,w + Ctr 56dB and L’nT,w 48dB, exceeding Building Regulation Part E requirements for separating floors.
