Product Information
Fermacell High Performance Fibre Gypsum Board – 15mm
Fermacell 15mm High Performance Fibre Gypsum Board is a dense, high-strength dry lining board designed for walls, ceilings and other demanding internal applications.
Manufactured from recycled gypsum, recycled cellulose fibres and recycled water, it combines strength, fire performance and acoustic mass in a single robust board.
Why Choose Fermacell 15mm?
- High-strength gypsum fibreboard: denser and more robust than standard plasterboard.
- Suitable for walls and ceilings: ideal for domestic, commercial and high-traffic applications.
- Good acoustic mass: the dense board construction makes it useful within sound insulation wall and ceiling systems.
- Impact resistant: suitable for areas where a more durable lining is required.
- A2 fire classification: classified as non-flammable A2 to DIN EN 13501-1.
- Suitable for humid internal environments: homogeneous gypsum fibre construction provides good dimensional stability.
- Made using recycled materials: manufactured from recycled gypsum and cellulose fibres from post-consumer waste paper.
- Multiple finish options: can be painted, plastered, tiled or finished with Fermacell fine surface treatment.
Typical Applications
- Acoustic wall systems
- Ceiling soundproofing systems
- Internal partitions
- Wall linings
- High-traffic areas
- Residential developments

Cutting & Finishing
Fermacell boards can be cut using conventional woodworking tools. Carbide-tipped tools are generally recommended when cutting boards to size.
The finished surface can be painted, plastered, tiled or treated with Fermacell Fine Surface Treatment, depending on the required final finish.
Storage: boards should be stored flat on pallets and protected against moisture, especially rain.

Use the correct Fermacell screw length for the wall or ceiling construction being installed. Screw size and fixing centres should follow the relevant Fermacell system specification.
Important: fixing requirements vary depending on whether the board is being installed to timber, metal framing or as part of a multi-layer system. Always follow the relevant Fermacell construction detail.
Manufacturer Information
Fermacell gypsum fibreboard is manufactured as a homogeneous board using recycled gypsum, recycled cellulose fibres from post-consumer waste paper and recycled water.
The board is approved for use on internal load-bearing and non-load-bearing walls, ceilings and floors, as well as sheathing applications within suitable external wall constructions.
