dB Cem Panel Adhesive is the recommended joint adhesive for bonding the tongue-and-groove edges of our cement particle flooring boards and acoustic Cem Panels. Used commonly with dB / Hush Cem Panel and Versa Floor Cement Particle Boards.
It creates a secure, continuous bond between adjoining tongue-and-groove panels during installation, helping keep the floor build-up tight and stable without relying on mechanical fixings through a floating floor system.
This adhesive is intended for gluing the tongue-and-groove edges of compatible cement particle boards and acoustic flooring panels as they are laid in the recommended brick-bond pattern.
It can be used with:
Important: this product is for bonding the tongue-and-groove panel edges. It is not intended to mechanically fix a floating acoustic floor to the structural subfloor.
A well-fitted tongue-and-groove floor relies on neighbouring boards being pulled tightly together. Gluing the joints helps create a secure connection between panels and reduces the risk of joints opening during or after installation. Air gaps can lead to leakage of airborne sound, while movement at unbonded joints can cause friction and squeaking.
For acoustic flooring, maintaining tight panel joints is particularly important because open gaps can weaken the continuity of the finished floor build-up.
1 x 1L bottle covers approximately 20m² of flooring.
For example, a 4m x 3m room has an area of 12m², so one bottle would normally be sufficient for the tongue-and-groove joints in that room.
Make sure the tongue-and-groove edges are clean, dry and free from dust or loose debris before applying adhesive.
Apply a bead of the adhesive continuously along the tongue-and-groove edge as each board is installed.
Engage the adjoining tongue-and-groove edges fully and pull the boards together to form a close, secure joint.
Use a damp microfibre cloth or scraper to wipe away excess adhesive after pushing joints together. Continue installing the boards in the recommended brick-bond pattern until finished.
Use the adhesive with our acoustic Cem Panels or standalone cement particle boards.
Add one 1L bottle for approximately every 20m² of Cem Panel or cement particle board, allowing 10% extra where the project has more cuts and joints.
To maintain acoustic separation around the edge of the floor, use a suitable perimeter isolation strip where the Cem Panel or cement particle board meets surrounding walls and rigid structures.
Perimeter isolation strip for separating acoustic floor panels from adjoining walls and reducing rigid acoustic bridging.

Flexible perimeter decoupling strip used between the floor panel and surrounding walls to help maintain acoustic isolation.
View ProductPerimeter isolation matters: avoid allowing Cem Panels or cement particle boards to make rigid contact with surrounding walls. This will bridge sound - allowing it to flank down the walls. A continuous flanking strip between the panel and wall will reduce vibration transfer around the floors perimeter.
