Warmatherm Acoustic Poly Pads
Warmatherm Acoustic Poly Pads are a simple and effective solution for improving the acoustic performance of suspended ceiling systems. Designed to sit directly above lay-in grid ceiling tiles, these high-performance acoustic pads help reduce noise transfer between adjoining rooms while also improving sound absorption within the space.
Each pad features a semi-rigid rock mineral fibre core, fully encapsulated in durable black polythene to prevent fibre shedding and provide a clean, easy-to-handle solution for commercial and residential applications.
Ideal for offices, classrooms, healthcare environments, meeting rooms, retail units, and other suspended ceiling installations where reducing noise break-in and break-out is essential.
Key Benefits
- Reduces noise transfer through suspended ceilings
- Improves existing ceiling tile sound absorption
- Encapsulated in black polythene to prevent fibre shedding
- Simple drop-in installation above ceiling tiles
- Non-combustible A1 fire-rated mineral fibre core
- Available in multiple thicknesses and sizes
- Higher-density options available for enhanced acoustic performance
- Suitable for commercial, education, healthcare, and office environments
Technical Information
Warmatherm Acoustic Poly Pads are manufactured using a high-quality semi-rigid rock mineral fibre core with a standard density of 45 kg/m³.
For projects requiring increased acoustic control, higher-density insulation cores can also be supplied upon request.
The mineral fibre core is manufactured under ISO 9001 quality management standards and is classified as A1 non-combustible in accordance with BS EN 13501-1.
The black polythene encapsulation helps contain fibres, improves handling during installation, and provides a neat finish within ceiling voids.
Acoustic Performance
When installed correctly in conjunction with mineral fibre suspended ceiling systems, Warmatherm Acoustic Poly Pads can significantly reduce airborne noise transfer between adjoining spaces.
A standard:
- 50mm pad (45 kg/m³ density) can achieve acoustic performance levels of up to 45 dB
- 60 kg/m³ core density can improve performance to approximately 48 dB
For enhanced acoustic control, performance can be further improved by:
- Increasing ceiling void depth
- Using thicker insulation pads
- Selecting higher-density insulation cores
- Pairing with higher-performance acoustic ceiling tiles
