Troldtekt Acoustic Panel | 25mm Natural Wood Finish | White FAQs

What are Troldtekt acoustic panels and do they reduce echo?

Troldtekt Acoustic panels are cement-bonded wood wool panels designed to absorb reflected sound and reduce reverberation within a room. They are used on ceilings and walls in spaces such as offices, classrooms, restaurants, communal areas and home interiors where hard surfaces create excessive echo. Depending on the complete installation build-up, Troldtekt Acoustic systems can achieve up to Class A sound absorption.

Is Troldtekt an environmentally responsible acoustic panel?

Troldtekt panels are made from wood and cement and are designed as a durable architectural acoustic finish rather than a disposable soft furnishing. Troldtekt’s Natural Wood and standard-colour ranges are Cradle to Cradle Certified® Gold, making them a strong option where customers want to combine reverberation control, aesthetics and documented environmental credentials.

Can Troldtekt panels be fitted to both ceilings and walls?

Yes. This 1200 x 600 x 25mm Ultrafine K0 panel is suitable for acoustic ceiling and wall applications and can be installed directly using approved Troldtekt fixings, including to suitable timber battens and other compatible profiles. Follow the manufacturer’s installation guide attached for further information.

What does Ultrafine K0 White 101 mean?

Ultrafine refers to Troldtekt’s finer 1.0mm wood wool surface, giving the panel a more refined appearance than coarser structures. K0 is the square-edge profile, while White 101 is the painted finish, making this version well suited to modern, clean and contemporary interiors.

How many Troldtekt panels do I need, and is this the same as soundproofing?

Each 1200 x 600mm panel covers 0.72m², so divide the area you want to treat by 0.72 to estimate the number of panels required, then allow for cutting and wastage. Troldtekt is primarily for reducing reverberation and echo inside a room; if the problem is sound travelling through a wall, floor or ceiling, a separate sound-insulation system will normally be required.
